Advantages Of Not Deleting Someone From Your Contact List

Advantages of not deleting someone from your contact list

1. You may one day need the person's help

Never look down on anyone cos no one knows tomorrow. Always try to maintain a good relationship with your contacts whom your status has overshadowed cos they might one day be at par with you or overtake you. How do you think they would feel if the only time you dimmed it fit to chat with them was when their status became very relevant or when you needed their help for something as little as an information? Putting a call through to your pals once in a while reassures them that you still hold them in high esteem even though they see you as up there. Don't wait till it's when you need them to buy the Aso ebi for your wedding before you chat them.

2. The person's broadcast message might change your life

Deleting or ignoring of contacts is an act common with Naija ladies. They feel it boosts their status as someone way above lowlifes even when they are worse than that. If you are such, kindly stop it for your own good especially when you just graduated. My first Job as a graduate was gotten through a bbm broadcast message. That job paved the way for a better one cos it gave me the opportunity to fill an experience in my CV which attracts employers. I would have remained jobless had it been I had deleted the contact that sent me that job advert or the contact decided to exclude me from the list of the broadcast message's recipients due to my non-chalant attitude towards him.

3. The person's DP might carry a picture of a long time friend

Social media got a huge boost when people dicovered its networking abilities. That contact you love to ignore or contemplating about deleting might actually be a friend to an old friend of yours whom he has in his contact list. Placing the person's picture as his DP (maybe to celebrate him on his birthday) might just be what will reconnect you to that old friend, perhaps a lost family member or an ex you are still crushing on.

You may add yours.
